It’s been a blast thus far. And I have a whole week to go. So, if you’ll excuse me… I have a conversation to finish with my hubby, bff, and Captian Morgan. Enjoy the pics.
Wish you were here. The salt air and the crisp ocean water would do you good.
Here’s Smokey Butt on the way to “grandma’s house”. I miss him. I hope he is having a good week with my mom and dad.
Sunrise Day 1. My hunny took this pic while I was still snoring. Then he went and grabbed me and Christy coffee and dough nuts from Krispy Kreme,
That’s Peggy the turtle. Her people were with her on the beach. They love her enough to chase her around while she plays in the waves, and moves exceptionally fast for a turtle in order to pose for pictures. It was nice to have met you Peggy. Your Person was kind to allow the interaction, and tell us a little about you. Hope you have fun at the Baywatch.
Impromptu “long-arm” shot.
Doesn’t the water look like it’s becconing you to dip your body into it? Like it craves to opportunity to wrap itself around me and welcome me back to where I ended, and to where I began, and to where I exist all over again.
Well, I’ll try to check in tomorrow. The Captian is calling.
My SIL and I have been putting together a timeline for our deceased FIL, as well as piecing together genealogy facts for our husband’s family. And we are having a very hard time of things!

There was another news clip this morning about the Reedy Cesspool River. I’ve been amazed how many people feel safe walking in the water, allowing their children and pets into the water for a long time. If you are the least bit aware of what a healthy river looks like, you *know* the Reedy just flat out is not. I love my walks in the park, the time my husband and I spend there enjoying the falls, the scenery, the people around us is cherished. But let’s have a little dose of reality here.
The water is gross. Keep your dogs, children, and self out of it. I wouldn’t advise casting that rod-n-reel out there either. You might catch something that looks really yummy, decide to eat it, then end up catching something that is anything *BUT* yummy. Yick.
SIL, BIL, and Nieces were supposed to come over for dinner tonight, so I made a special desert… They canceled, so they haven’t tried it, but WOW! This stuff is like nirvana in a bowl.
Thanks to Christy for introducing this yummy to me! It’s too good to not pass along. Make some yourself, then call me while you’re cooing over your spoon.
2 Boxes of jello cheesecake pudding mix (instant)
2lbs strawberries (topped and sliced into circles or quarters)
16oz container of sour cream (light is fine)
Regular size container cool-whip (again, light is fine)
2C. Milk
Vanilla wafers
Sugar to cover strawberries
Cover strawberries with sugar, sit them in the fridge overnight (or at least a few hours) to sweat.
Combine both pudding mixes with the 2 cups milk, whisk in the tub of sour cream until smooth, then gently fold in the entire tub of cool-whip. Let chill for 10-15 minutes in the fridge to firm up a bit.
Layer in a pretty glass serving dish or trifle bowl, beginning with a layer of wafers, then strawberries (with syrup made by tossing with sugar), cheesecake pudding, then starting over again. End with a layer of pudding fluff, and crumble some wafers on top for garnish. Chill until ready to serve.
Toss a bag of popcorn in the nuker, dust off the air popper, or get ready to jiggle your junk with some jiffy pop.
Thought I would share some of my Best Movies Ever. I’m not promising I won’t come back and add to this list, but if I do I will make sure to make a new blog.
Hrmmm… where do I begin though…
Since I’m having a tough time deciding, these are in no particular order. Hell, if my OCD bug bites hard enough, I just may alphabetize them, or put them in some kind of order that makes sense only in my mind.
